Jennifer L. Wehberg, MD, FAAP

Dr. Wehberg has been practicing pediatrics for over 30 years. After completing her B.S. at Virginia Polytechnic and State University and her residency at University of Maryland, she began practicing at Carroll Childrenʼs Center in Westminster, MD. Dr. Wehberg is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  Dr. Wehberg is the founding partner of Gateway Pediatrics, PA in September of 2009.

In addition to practicing at Gateway Pediatrics, PA, Dr. Wehberg gave back to the local community at the Child Advocacy Center (Salisbury) for ten years. She has four adult children.

Perry M. Adams, PA-C

PA Adams is a nationally board certified Physician Assistant for over 35 Years. He served in the U.S. Navy where he worked as a Hospital Corpsman in the ICU/Nursery at Balboa Naval Hospital (San Diego, CA). He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Alderson-Broaddus College (1986) – number one in his class. Clinical rotations included pediatrics at Alleghany General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1987-1990 in family practice and has occupational medical experience from the DuPont company in Seaford, DE. He also served in the U.S. Air National Guard from 1992-1996.

He has served in pediatric care on Delmarva for over 25 years and is a founding partner of Gateway Pediatrics in September 2009. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. PA Adams gives back with medical missions trips including to Jamaica, Belize, and Zambia. He has five adult children and nine grandchildren.

Amber M. Adkins, NP-C, CLC

NP Adkins is a nationally board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her B.S. in Nursing at Salisbury University. NP Adkins spent her entire nursing career in pediatrics providing home visiting services to high-risk families in Sussex County, Delaware. She completed her Masters degree at Wilmington University in May 2016. In 2023 NP Adkins received her Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) from the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. She lives in Salisbury and has two children.

Christine T. Perdue, CPNP

NP Perdue is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Child Development and then continued on to receive a Masters of Science in Nursing, with a specialization in Pediatric Primary Care, in 2012. A native of Washington DC, NP Perdue returned to DC after graduating and spent the first 5 years of her career working in a pediatric practice for Hispanic patients and she speaks Spanish fluently. She lives in Salisbury and has three children. 

 

 

 

Ashley E. Poole, PA-C

PA Poole is a board certified Physician Assistant. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Maryland Eastern Shore where she received a Bachelors of Science in Rehabilitation Services and then continued on to receive a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. A native of the eastern shore, PA Poole has been working locally since she graduated in 2017. She spent the last 6 years of her career working in pediatrics. Recently made the change to caring for adults. She realized quickly that she missed working with the pediatric population and is excited to be joining us on a part-time basis. She lives in Delmar and has three children.
